Keep your Browser Upgraded.

Web sites are designed to accommodate specific browsers. There are many cool extras that are seen on sites when viewed by the most current browsers. Even though browsers are close to being at 6.0 release, close to 20% of Internet users are using 3.0 browsers.
Check your Browser Now by clicking on the help at the very top. Now click on the about. It will tell you the version that you are using. You should be using at least a 4.7

Set your Monitor -- Color & Resolution

The Internet is best viewed with the most colors available to you. Most monitors are able to use 16 million colors, but most come set at only 256 colors.
In addition, you may set your resolution to see more on your screen. Most monitors come set with a resolution set at 640X480. The net is best viewed at 800X600. It may take a little while to get use to it but after you do, you'll never change it back.
Most sites are best viewed in 800X600.
For Windows 95, get to your desktop, right click on it. In the box click on properties, Choose the settings tab and set your colors to 16 million, or 16 bit, however it is phrased AND set your resolution to 800X600

Set your Home Page to YOUR choice

Internet Service Providers (ISP's) Internet Explorer & Netscape all set their browsers to go to a specific Home Page which is their home. Set Your home page to where you want. Then when you first open your browser or hit the home button at the top you will go to the site of your choice. Our preference is to where you get current weather and your choice of search engines.
